Her Mother Sis Jewel Lawrence (who preceded her in death) was a Charter Member of (then) Phillips Chapel and when they were in need of a Pianist & Minister of Music, Sis Lawrence called upon her old dear friend from Little Rock, Sis Exie C Taylor (my Grandmother) to come and take the position and she did.... and the Rest is "HerStory" Sis Simril wore Many hats as a viable member of PT. She has served on the Hostess Board, Stewardesss Board, Chair of the Board of Christian Education and as a Steward I was BLESSED to Serve along side her on the Steward Board. Sis Helen was Married to Grady Simril (who preceded her in death) and had two Daughters; Sheila (who preceded her in death) and Eleanor. She left to More a Host of Family & Friends including Grands, Great Grands and Great-great-Grands. Sis Helen Simril will be Greatly missed, Yet we know she is with GOD! May Her Soul Forever Rest in the Precious Power Of Peace!!! ~ jOY!!! |
