| I So LOved This Woman... and PRAYED for Her! Through Television, I can Truly say, She Has Been a part of My Life for 40yrs. May GOD Bless Her Children, Entire Family and Friends - and May Her Soul Rest In The POWER Of PEACE!!! Wilma Jeanne Cooper (October 25, 1928 – May 8, 2013), best known as Jeanne Cooper, was an American actress, best known for her Emmy Award winning role as Katherine Chancellor on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless (1973–2013). At the time of her death, she was eighth on the all-time list of longest-serving soap opera actors in the United States. Cooper was born in Taft in Kern County, California, to Albert Troy Cooper, and his wife, the former Sildeth Evelyn Moore. She was the youngest of their three children. Jeanne's family lived in Kern County for several years, first in Taft until 1942 and then moving to Bakersfield. Her mother died August 21, 1945, and her father died April 11, 1986. Cooper has received ten Daytime Emmy nominations, nine for Outstanding Lead Actress and one for Outstanding Supporting Actress, and two Primetime Emmy nominations. She received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Daytime Emmys in 2004. For her contributions to television, Cooper received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd. She won the 2008 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. This was her first competitive win, she had first been nominated in 1989. Cooper married television producer Harry Bernsen, Jr. and they were together for twenty-three years before divorcing. In Jeanne Cooper's book released (on July 31, 2012) she makes it known that after their divorce she and ex-husband Harry Bernsen very rarely saw each other (only when family functions dictated) and they were not close or even friends before his death on May 31, 2008. The Bernsens had three children, all of whom are actors: Corbin Bernsen of L.A. Law fame (born September 7, 1954), whose mother Cooper portrayed twice on that series; Collin Bernsen, born March 30, 1958; and Caren Bernsen, born August 17, 1960. In 2013, shortly after a round of promotion for the Y&R 40th anniversary, Cooper became ill due to an infection. Cooper died on May 8, 2013 in a Los Angeles hospital. Diana Ernestine Earle Ross (born March 26, 1944) is an African-American vocalist, music artist, and actress. Ross first rose to fame as a founding member and lead singer of the Motown group The Supremes during the 1960s. After leaving the group in 1970, Ross began a solo career that has included successful ventures into film and Broadway. She received a Best Actress Academy Award nomination for her role as Billie Holiday in Lady Sings the Blues (1972), for which she won a Golden Globe award for most promising female newcomer. She has won seven American Music Awards, and won a Special Tony Award for her one-woman show, An Evening with Diana Ross, in 1977. In 1976, Billboard magazine named her the "Female Entertainer of the Century." In 1993, the Guinness Book of World Records declared Diana Ross the most successful female music artist in history due to her success in the United States and United Kingdom for having more hits than any female artist in the charts with a career total of 70 hit singles. Diana Ross has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. In 1988, Ross was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as member of the Supremes alongside Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson. Around 1965, Ross began dating Motown CEO Berry Gordy. The affair reportedly lasted several years and resulted in the birth of Ross' eldest child, Rhonda Suzanne Silberstein, in August 1971. Two months into her pregnancy with Rhonda, in January 1971, Ross married music executive Robert Ellis Silberstein. Ross gave her first husband's surname to her daughter. It was stated that Ross' marriage to Silberstein was a "business arrangement". Rhonda didn't learn the truth until she was 13. With Silberstein, Ross had two daughters, Tracey Joy and Chudney Lane Silberstein, born in 1972 and 1975 respectively. Ross and Silberstein divorced in 1977 and Ross relocated to New York in the early 1980s after years living in Los Angeles. Ross met her second husband, billionaire Norwegian shipping magnate Arne Næss, Jr. in 1985 and married him the following year, later having boys Ross Arne and Evan Olav. They divorced in 2000. Næss was killed in a mountain climbing accident in 2004, Ross attended his funeral. With the exception of her son Ross Næss, all of her children use their mother's surname as their stage name. Ross is a grandmother of two: her daughter Rhonda gave birth to a son, Raif-Henok Emmanuel Kendrick in August 2009. In September 2012, daughter Chudney gave birth to daughter Calloway Lane.
