SEASON FINALE - BOARDWALK EMPIRE: "Who Stays, Who Goes?!"

SEASON FINALE - BOARDWALK EMPIRE: "Who Stays, Who Goes?!"

Michael Kenneth Williams an Actor best known for his portrayal of Omar Little on the HBO drama series The Wire. Now on HBO's Boardwalk Empire as Albert "Chalky" White – a powerful racketeer and the unofficial leader of the African-American community in Atlantic City.
How Real is Chalky White?
In a word, not very. There may be some basis as... Michael K. Williams (Omar from The Wire) alludes to the fact that the character is based on a boxer. One would have to think that was "Chalky" Wright, a boxer who fought 200+ matches in a long career that spanned through the 20s, 30s and 40s. However, Wright fought few matches in New Jersey and once fought a match as "Chalky White," probably due to a clerical error.
Wright fought out of California, primarily Los Angeles and San Bernadino in the 1920s, so the HBO character seems like a pretty loose interpretation if this is who it is based on. He fought often enough that his involvement in bootlegging was probably peripheral (hired muscle), if anything.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!: "It's All About Family!"
...And Being with the People You LOve and those who LOve You! You May be Blessed to Have a Wonderful Family as to where All LOve each other and are Supportive... Well, Everyone (more than you know) are Not quite as Fortunate to Have that Family have been forced to build one on their own... Person by Person and when those Families Merge, they are just as Viable as others Connected through D N A!
So, for this Thanksgiving and/or Holiday Season if You yourself have a Traditional Family Gathering, think about Inviting that Loner (from Work, Church, School, etc.,...) that has No Family and/or Live far from them. More People commit Suicide during the Holiday Season More than Any other time of the Year... and the first sign is Isolating themselves.
In addition, if You are that Loner whose Family lives Far away and/or you are estranged from them for whatever reason and/or you just Don't have any Family and this time of year leaves you Lonely and/or Depresses... Accept The Invitations extended to You by those who LOve You... I Promise You you'll Feel Much Better! It is Difficult to Remain Sad and/or Lonely when You are surrounded by a Spiritual, Supportive, Loving, Crazy, Comical Family makeshift or Not!!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL... LOve Peace & enjOYIt'sAllAboutFamily!!!

Celebrating Kennedy: "Once Upon a Time..."
"Camelot Era"
Kennedy and his wife were younger in comparison to the presidents and first ladies that preceded them, and both were popular in the media culture in ways more common to pop singers and movie stars than politicians, influencing fashion trends and becoming the subjects of numerous photo spreads in popular magazines. Although Eisenhower had allowed presidential press conferences to be filmed for television, Kennedy was the first president to ask for them to be broadcast live and made good use of the medium.
Mrs. Kennedy brought new art and furniture to the White House, and directed its restoration. They invited a range of artists, writers and intellectuals to rounds of White House dinners, raising the profile of the arts in America.
The president was closely tied to popular culture, emphasized by songs such as "Twisting at the White House". Vaughn Meader's First Family comedy album—an album parodying the President, First Lady, their family, and administration—sold about four million copies. On May 19, 1962, Marilyn Monroe sang "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" at a large party in Madison Square Garden, celebrating Kennedy's upcoming forty-fifth birthday. The charisma of Kennedy and his family led to the figurative designation of "Camelot" for his administration, credited by his wife, who coined the term for the first time in print during a post-assassination interview with Theodore White, to his affection for the then contemporary Broadway musical of the same name. Jackie was a Great Equestrian!!

Celebrating Kennedy: "Bouvier"
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, born Jacqueline Lee "Jackie" Bouvier (pronounced /ˌˈdʒækliːn ˈliː ˈbuːvieɪ/; July 28, 1929 – May 19, 1994), was the wife of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, and First Lady of the United States during his presidency from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. Five years later she married Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis; they remained married until his death in 1975. For the final two decades of her life, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis had a career as a book editor. She is remembered for her contributions to the arts and preservation of historic architecture, her style, elegance, and grace. She was a fashion icon; her famous pink Chanel suit and pillbox hat have become symbols of her husband's assassination and one of the lasting images of the 1960s.

Celebrating Kennedy: "Our Wedding Day & That Gown!!!

Celebrating Kennedy: "Our Wedding Day & That Gown!!!
Jacqueline Bouvier and then-U.S. Representative John Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy belonged to the same social circle and often attended the same functions. They were formally introduced by a mutual friend, journalist Charles L. Bartlett, at a dinner party in May 1952. Kennedy was then busy running for the US Senate but after his election in November, the relationship grew more serious and led to their engagement, officially announced on June 25, 1953.
They were married on September 12, 1953, at St. Mary's Church in Newport, Rhode Island, in a Mass celebrated by Boston's Archbishop Richard Cushing. The wedding was considered the social event of the season with an estimated 700 guests at the ceremony and 1,200 at the reception that followed at Hammersmith Farm.
The wedding cake was created by Plourde's Bakery in Fall River, Massachusetts. The wedding dress, now housed in the Kennedy Library in Boston, Massachusetts, and the dresses of her attendants were created by designer Ann Lowe of New York City.
The GOWN:
Ann Cole Lowe (1898 – 1981) was an African American fashion designer. She designed the wedding dress for Jacqueline Bouvier when she married John Kennedy.
She was born in Clayton, Alabama, the great granddaughter of a slave and plantation owner.
She married in 1912, at age 14, and enrolled in a fashion school in New York City in 1917. After graduation, she opened a salon in Tampa, Florida, before returning to New York in 1928, where she worked on commission for stores such as Chez Sonia. In 1946, she designed the dress that Olivia de Havilland wore to accept the Academy Award for Best Actress for To Each His Own, although the name on the dress was Sonia Rosenberg.
She designed for various upper crust New Yorkers, including the ivory-silk-taffeta wedding dress for Jacqueline Kennedy in 1953.
She worked her later years at Saks Fifth Avenue, where she was featured in a 1960 advertisement.
Felled by glaucoma, she lost an eye but continued to design through 1960 for Madeline Couture and briefly operated Ann Lowe Originals on Madison Avenue in New York.

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!: "Tomorrow Is Not Promised!"

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!: "Tomorrow Is Not Promised!"
With the 50th Anniversary of President John F Kennedy's Assassination coming up on November 22nd, it has caused Me to feel Very Thankful, Grateful and Blessed for TODAY! Yes, we've bought our Turkeys and Fixins and some of us have already began preparations on portions of Our Thanksgiving Day Feast... But let Us not forget, We Need to Live Each Day as if it is Our Last for Tomorrow Is Not Promised! Be BLESSED and Have a Wonderful Sunday!!!
In reading an article yesterday, it stated, "Most who would Remember this Day were already Dead..." Why did that Baffle me?! As a Mathematician, I know it is True based simply on Adding, Subtracting and the Process of Elimination... Though I was only 3 and a half at the time, it was one of My First Memories (the other was My Dad's leg being amputated). Before I thought about it, My first reaction was "Damn, I'm Old!"
However after reading the article and watching "Killing Kennedy" (the Movie starring Rob Lowe), I Soon realized how Blessed I was and Am to Still be Here.
In addition, I knew that John jr (RIP) and I were born the same year, yet I've never really know his birthday. In the movie, when JFK (RIP) asked Jackie (RIP) to accompany him to Houston, she mentioned as long as they would return by the 25th to Celebrate John's 3rd Birthday.
That lead me to thinking they were also planning a Big White House Thanksgiving Gala that would fall on the 28th.... Yet due to a Murderous Plot only one walked off the Plane on Friday the 22nd of November and the Former Commander and Chief - John Fitzgerald Kennedy was laid to Rest on Monday November 25, 1963 on Johnjohn's 3rd Birthday.
I can't even Imagine how First Lady Jacqueline handled this with such Grace, Class & Dignity... even wearing the Blood-stained Pink Suit for over 24hrs. stating, "I want them to see what they did to Jack!"
By Texas law, the President's body could not legally be removed from the hospital before an autopsy had been performed. This caused a brief scuffle between Dallas officials and members of the President's security detail. The impasse ended when Secret Service agents put the officials against the wall at gunpoint.
A few minutes after 2:00 p.m. CST (20:00 UTC), President Kennedy's body was taken from Parkland Hospital and driven to Air Force One. The casket was then loaded aboard the airplane through the rear door, where it remained at the rear of the passenger compartment, in place of a removed row of seats. The body was removed before a forensic examination could be conducted by the Dallas County Coroner Earl Rose, who had jurisdiction. At that time, it was not a federal offense to kill the President of the United States, although it was a federal crime to conspire to injure a federal officer while he was acting in the line of duty. Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson, who became President upon President Kennedy's death, and had been riding two cars behind President Kennedy in the motorcade, refused to leave for Washington without President Kennedy and his widow.
At 2:38 p.m. CST (20:38 UTC), Vice-President Johnson took the oath of office on board Air Force One just before it departed from Love Field, with Jacqueline Kennedy at his side.
